Sunday Morning Faith Formation

Faith Formation classes (After 10 AM worship): Beginning September 17, adults will have three in-person class options:

  • Family Class: Along with a book discussion, this class follows the same Scripture the children are reading
  • FLPConversations: This classes discusses contemporary issues using the Wired Word lessons.
  • Where Do I Fit in the Body of Christ? How Understanding Your Personality Traits Can Help: Join David Hunter – with biblical lesson input from Ed Black - in an 4-week discussion on how an understanding of your personality traits can help you develop your God-given gifts to better serve God and others. We will utilize the Big 5 personality construct, literature, and assessment material to help you identify your personality traits. David will lead the group in discussing each of the five personality traits and how we can grow in faith and discipleship together. Finally, David will be glad to work with you individually if you desire deeper engagement with the topic. Room S-211. Starts September 17.

Small Groups

Small Group Connections: Studying Scripture is the backbone of our growth in faith as a community of Christ. H3 Groups (as in Head, Heart, Hands), FLPC's small group ministry, includes Bible study, book studies, and discussion groups based on approved curriculum. They are ongoing throughout the year.

We normally have other groups ongoing as well, such as lunch groups, a sewing collaborative, and a day trip group.  The best way to find out what is going on is to check our weekly enews or our News and Events.

Men’s and Women’s’ Groups

Presbyterian Women: Every woman is welcome to participate in any PW activity. Women of all ages have the opportunity to become involved in small groups (called Circles) that meet monthly, September - May during the day and evening. (These Circle meet at different times to accommodate personal schedules.) Circles enjoy caring friendships with each other, spiritual enrichment through prayer and Bible study and actively supporting local missions. Faith and fellowship are further nurtured by an annual overnight winter retreat at Camp Fellowship on Lake Greenwood.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast: All men are invited to join in this ongoing weekly Bible study. This group meets at Eggs Up Grill on Forest Dr, 7:30 AM on Tuesdays, and enjoys time together in study and prayer.

Men's Group at Bruegger's: This group meets at Bruegger's Bagels on Forest Dr. each Thursday at 6:30 AM for a book discussion.
