Rev. Dr. Dan Holloway
Interim Associate Pastor
My job is to coordinate Adult Education, to support FLPC’s service and benevolent ministries and provide support in visitation, pastoral duties and worship. I recently retired after 28 years as the pastor of Unity Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC and moved to Columbia to be near family. Ellen Skidmore invited me to assist Forest Lake in a part-time, interim basis, and I plan to continue my interim duties until December 2018.

I provide primary support both for the Stewardship and Planned Giving for Forest Lake as well as for the Senior Pastor - my wife! I also work full time for the State of South Carolina through the SC LEAP Program.

My job is to ensure that the finances and facilities support the work of transforming people in the image of Christ, and I do that in community with the church volunteers who keep up with the finances, property, and facilities.

My job is to help members and guests find ways to grow in their faith by connecting them at FLPC. When I am not at Forest Lake, I am an intervention specialist at Windsor Elementary School.

Dr. Beth Mears
Director of Music
My job is to provide opportunities for our members to give of their talents and glorify God through music. As I plan for each service, my goal is to select vocal and instrumental pieces that will enhance our worship. When I am not at Forest Lake, I am the Choral Director at Richland Northeast High School in the Fine Arts Magnet Program and am the Music Director of the Columbia Choral Society.

I provide instrumental support for the Music Ministry and other worship functions of Forest Lake. I play the organ, piano, and handbells and enrich the worship at Forest Lake through music.
Part-Time Youth Ministry Coordinator
My job is to love and to lead the youth of FLPC into a living relationship with God in Christ so that they will know how much they are loved. I am a “full-time” member of FLPC, but in my part-time staff role at Forest Lake I directly supervise the Youth Director and coordinate youth programming for Sunday evenings and weekdays.
I am the Financial Responsibility Manager for the Department of Motor Vehicles.

While I have worked for many years in the corporate world, I also find joy in cooking and have had my own catering business. I cook and coordinate hospitality through meals and food service at Forest Lake after my regular work day is done.
