By Jodi Beckham
A quick scroll through Facebook can show some wonderful work being done by our community. Good news that we very much need! There is more good work being done than I could list here but I wanted to encourage you to check out some of what is being done.
Fellowship Camp and Conference Center is providing lodging and food for the Imani Milele Choir from Uganda, which is made up of 21 children and 16 adults. This choir was booked months ago to come to America beginning their performing tour in January and were scheduled to continue through November 2020. But because of the spread of COVID-19 they had to cancel it, which also cancelled their lodging. Fellowship Camp and Conference Center stepped in to provide lodging and meals when theirs were cancelled! Please read the whole story here including how you can help.
Richland School District Two has set up stations for families to pick up meals knowing many children rely on their school for meals through the school year. In addition, a team from Joseph Keels Elementary loaded meals and volunteers onto a school bus to deliver meals, making sure all students have access to healthy foods!
