Long before children remember a preacher’s sermons, they learn something about God by watching the adults around them. They notice if they feel safe. They notice whether adults are kind, patient, and dependable.
Jesus said,”Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.“ Those words remind us that welcoming children means more than opening the classroom door. It means creating an environment where children know they are loved, valued, protected, and encouraged to grow. Every decision we make should help create that kind of environment.
Our Child Protection Policy provides shared expectations for everyone who serves with children and youth so that families and volunteers can minister together with confidence.
